After crossing the motorway, proceed towards the Wooden Bridge (Myrke Bridge), walk left along the south bank of the Jubilee River.

At the pedestrian controlled road crossing cross over, bear left and pass through gate to rejoin the river path. Take care when crossing the road, which is often very busy. |

Continue along the Jubilee River, walking through the tunnel beneath the railway line. The river is a sanctuary for water fowl and other birds.

On emerging from the tunnel keep a close eye on the fence to the left of the path until reaching the gate and footpath sign (about 100m from the tunnel) which are below the level of the path |

Pass through the gate and follow the path across the field with crops. This section of the route is not suitable for pushchairs or prams. Take care to follow the path and avoid unnecessary damage to the crops |

At the far end of the field pass through a wooden gate following the footpath sign to a very narrow stile between fields which may contain horses |

Turning left at the stile is the route of the walk. Follow the tarmac road (Common Road) until reaching The Walk with the Greyhound Pub on the corner. Refreshments are available at The Greyhound. |

Continue down The Walk to Eton Wick Road (B3026). On the opposite side of the road follow the signpost along the tarmac path towards the river Thames. You are now on the Thames Path, a continuous path from the source of the Thames near Cirencester in Wiltshire to the Thames Barrier at Greenwich. The complete ‘National Trail’ path is 213 miles (340 kilometers) in length. Windsor Race Course will be seen on the opposite side of the river |

On reaching the river Thames turn left following the river side path which is also a cycle track. Walk beneath the A355 and Windsor Railway Bridge. |

The open grassland area is known as The Brocas and Windsor Castle will be seen straight ahead. Follow the well used path across The Brocas

At the far side of The Brocas pass through the gate and the Watermans Arms will be seen ahead. Refreshments are available at The Watermans Arms. |

Continue to the right of the Watermans Arms and turn left into Eton High Street. Eton Bridge leading to Windsor will be to the right. There are numerous pubs and eating places in Eton High Street including The Henry VI, The New College Arms, The George, The Crown & Cushion and The Christopher Hotel.
Public Toilets are at the car park in Eton Court (west of The high Street between The Crown & Cushion and The Christopher Hotel).

Follow Eton High Street until reaching Eton College. Across the road is Common Lane a few yards down is the famous Antony Gormley Bronze Edge II walking down the wall.

Take a moment to look across the road opposite the college gate and see the ‘Burning Bush’, a wrought iron lamp standard outside Eton College School Hall. Continue past the traffic lights and on the right side look for the Archway entrance to Eton College. It is sign posted as Westons Yard and the Arch has a letter box in the wall on the right
