Slough Together Charity Walk

Slough Rotary provides the infrastructure and resources for small and medium sized charities to raise funds for themselves.

Now in its fourth year this flagship event in the club's calendar attracts  many local charity teams and individual members of the public that number in their hundreds. Funds raised for local charities is well over £10,000 and has reached £25,000. It represents a great day out for individuals, families, charity and workplace teams who enjoy the opportunity of walking to raise funds for their favourite charity.  Many will bring a picnic to eat along the way and others enjoy a meal together at the finish. There is a trophy for the individual raising the most sponsorship. Accompanied children have free entry.  Financial support is required to;

-       professionally market the event with flyers, posters, press advertising , direct mail and email to attract entries

-       support on the day including administration, waymarking,  toilet facilities, litter control and refreshments,  offering a well organised event that participants feel good about

-       hire of premises, licensing, printing and postage

-       promotional materials for those taking part. A party atmosphere is engendered with gifts of bottled water,  souvenir completion certificates, commemorative Baseball Caps and T-shirts. These can all feature a sponsor's logo or other promotional message.
